2017 Thank You cards

Hi Crafty Pals,

As promised here are the thank you cards I created after the holidays using current product. I did two different kinds of cards in batches so it saves time and I seem to end up with less scraps left over.

The first card (see below) is going to be sent over to my family in England so has to be kept quite flat when it comes to the embellishments or it ends up costing so much to post.

Orchid Thank you card

Hi Crafty Pals,

Welcome to another video this time using the Balloon Builders Stamp Set.

I was inspired by the many, many images on Pinterest using this set. I saw a beautiful daisy style flower and thought maybe I could make something floral.

I have done a much better job at editing and thanks to some advice from an avid YouTube watcher (my son) I even had a go at speeding up sections. He still says I need some music at the beginning and to accompany the sped up parts 🙂 I am just happy I managed to get what I was talking about in the shot this time!

Ingredients

Designer Series Paper and Card Stock: Calypso Coral, Whisper White, Watercolour Paper and Pretty Petals Designer Series Paper Stack

Stamp Set: Balloon Builders and Sprinkles of Life

Punches/Die Cuts: Word Window and Balloon Bouquet

Classic Stampin’ Pad®: Calypso Coral and Pink Pirouette

Accessories: Stampin’ Dimensionals, Snail Permanent Adhesive, Pearl Basic Jewels and Silver Metallic Thread

Wondrous Wreath for Fab Friday Challenge

Hi Crafty Pals,

Sorry I was not about last week, but for the first time in ages I was supplying everyday so as you can imagine I was pretty exhausted. However I did manage to get into my craft room and unpack my latest goodies!

This week I decided to take part in two challenges which were both based on sketches so I’ll be posting both today.

The first was for Fab Friday 81 and the sketch is shown below my effort.

Wonderous wreath Thanks

I wanted to ink up the Wondrous Wreath stamp set and try and use it for a non-holiday occasion and I love the Wonderful Wreath Framelits as a substitute for circles. I felt that the flowers looked quite spring like and I am always in need of thank you cards so I made it for my ‘just in case’ stash.

The sketch I used for inspiration

On this card I’ve used products from the new 2013 Spring Catalogue and the 2012 Holiday one (ordering ended this week).

Ingredients

Designer Series Paper and Card Stock: Festival of Prints stack (2012 Holiday Catalogue), Whisper White (100730) and Crumb Cake (120953)

Stamps: Pennant Parade (122742 – Clear-Mount or 122740 – Wood-Mount)

As I look back at the final card for this post I can see things I’d change such as stamping the Thank You (Primrose Petals) on to scratch paper first so the colour on the card itself isn’t so vivid.

Holiday thank you cards – post 1

Hi Crafty Pals,

Over the last couple of days I’ve been a busy beaver making holiday thank you cards to send out to everyone who sent my son a gift. He is always a very lucky boy as he is an only child and an only grandchild so he gets rather spoilt!

I normally try to do one design and then make as many as I need, but because my 2013 Spring Catalogue and Clearance Rack Stampin Up!® orders arrived just before the holidays I decided to try out the different products so I came up with various different cards.

I decided to create 3 posts and show a few cards in each as a single post would be soooooooooooooo long.

Ingredients

Designer Series Paper and Card Stock: Parker’s Patterns (131021), Whisper White (100730), Marina Mist (119682), Daffodil Delight (119683)

Stamps: Perfectly Penned (122892 – Clear-Mount or 122890 – Wood-Mount)

Punches/Die Cuts: Scallop Border (119882)

Classic Stampin’ Pad®: Cajun Craze (126965)

Accessories: SNAIL Adhesive® (104332), Stampin’ Trimmer (126889)

I made the one with the Marina Mist first, but realised because I was layering it onto a Marina Mist part of the Designer Series Paper it kind of disappeared hence my change of border colour.
